On my Windows Server 2008 R2 I am using Windows authentification to login a user to a subfolder of a classic ASP website. On my Windows 2012 R2 fallback system and now on the new 2016 Server this does not work anymore. With the same configuration the browser gets 401 errors.
But if I use standard authentification then it works fine and I can login the user. Firefox says that there is a security problem (no secure connection). However https is working so that is not the cause. My suggestion is that since 2012 the windows authentification needs a certificate or something like that?
Does someone know the solution?
