Running IIS 8 on Server 2012 and I'm trying to host a zip file that is downloaded via a powershell command. With IE/Firefox I can browse to the location and right-click on the zip file and download and it's fine. However when I download via powershell script and go to open the zip file, I get the following error:
Windows cannot open the folder.
The compressed (zipped) folder *name of zip folder* is invalid.
I have disabled compression in IIS and changed the MIME type of zip files to application/octet-stream. However that has shown no change in behavior.
Is this necessarily an IIS issue? If so, what can I do to resolve this?
