Having issue in production server with 2008 R2 OS where IIS service is getting stopped on random days with below errors in event viewer:

1.A worker process '10120' serving application pool 'DefaultAppPool' failed to stop a listener channel for protocol 'http' in the allotted time. The data field contains the error number.

2.The World Wide Web Publishing Service service entered the stopped state.

"Default Application pool" is the application pool. As per few articles the error message indicates that there are more worker requests than what is permitted. I checked the properties for the application pool and number worker process is set to 1. This occurs once in every month where we had to restart IIS as the temporary solution.

Please suggest if I can make any changes to App pool settings or increase the connection pool size will help in resolving this?
